In 2003, I contacted Barbara after finding her website. I explained to her that I had never worked with autographs before and was not knowledgeable in her profession. From the start Barb encouraged me to study about autographs, deal with repeatable dealers and suggested several books that would help me. I reviewed her memberships with the UACC, Manuscript Society and found her in good standing.


Made my first purchase with Barbara and was very happy. I have made many purchase since 2003 and have always be pleased with them. Barbara has always be trustworthy, dependable and knowledgeable. This letter was completely unsolicited but I got to thinking about how well our business went with Barb and wanted to share this with anyone who may be considering buying or selling historic documents.

Some months after I first made initial contact with Barb, my wife and I decided to move ahead with the sale of some historic letters I had owned since the 1970's. In addition to Barb, I also talked with two very large volume dealers. All were seriously interested in the collection. I found all of them on the internet, so Barb was as unknown to me as were the large dealers.

Barb was consistently helpful and followed up to the letter on every promise she made. She took the time to acknowledge things, proved her insurance to us promptly when asked and gave us a comfort level totally lacking with the other dealers. Unlike the large dealers who stumbled around and made virtually no effort to solve my concerns (I don't deal in documents at all) Barb was totally dependable and proved to us through her actions that she was trustworthy and very knowledgeable.

Subsequent to our quick and smooth transaction, I've learned a bit more and was relieved to see that her valuations and the deal she made with us was extremely fair and honest. If you are considering a purchase or sale with Barb, I would encourage you to spare your efforts with others and deal with Barb as one could not ask for a better person to do business with.
